Burdah Rock Bridge โ€” 2 Days & 2 Nights

The classic sites on day one โ€” and on day two, the scramble of a lifetime up to the Burdah Rock Bridge, the highest natural arch in Wadi Rum.

2 days, 2 nights

Day one is the full ten-site jeep route โ€” Lawrence Spring, Red Dune, Khazali, the rock bridges, Um Sabatah at sunset, a night at camp.

Day two is the climb of Jabal Burdah to its rock bridge: 260 metres of ascent, partly walking, partly scrambling, with a short rock-climb section near the top where the bridge waits. The arch is the highest in Wadi Rum, and from beneath it the view is one of the great vistas of Jordan.

Afternoon brings the Roman Dam โ€” ancient water management still legible in the stone โ€” and Barrah Canyon, a 5-kilometre valley of sand and colour. Second sunset at Um Sabatah, second night at camp.

Scrambling the Burdah Rock Bridge requires fitness and a sense of adventure. If you struggle with balance or fear heights, this tour is unfit for you. Hands are needed on the steep sections; a guide rope is used near the top.
